Optimals White Oxygen Boost day cream by Oriflame Sweden Review

Foreword:
Water and oil; two essential elements for a healthy, glowing skin. Moisturizing your skin  is all about  maintaining a perfect balance between the two, both internally and externally. Though moisturizing the skin is thought more of a thing of winters, it is equally important in summers for a couple of reasons.
Excessive sweating and frequent face and body wash in summers result in moisture lost from the skin. This moisture lost, with the added effects of sun exposure, usually leads to dull skin. To avoid this condition, one must not only increase the water intake but should also look for a moisturizer that may balance the moisture level in the skin. However, people with oily skin face the problem in finding a moisturizer that may balance the moisture and oil in their skin without giving a heavy oily feel/look to the face.
In my sister's quest for a moisturizer that is good in hydration and is non-greasy, she got her hands on Optimals White Oxygen Boost day cream SPF 15 for oily skin by Oriflame Sweden. Did it work for her? Lets explore!

Product's claim:
Urban pollution reduces the concentration of oxygen in the environment that is available for skin cells to use. The lack of oxygen means your skin cells do not function fully. As a result your skin becomes dull and grey. For a total refreshment to the skin, Oriflame researchers have developed the new Optimals Oxygen Boost formula, based on a combination of O2 active incorporated with the world exclusive patented technology LINGON 50:50TM.

This is the perfect range adapted to polluted skin in need of a breath of fresh air. This range of Optimals oxygen Boost, is specifically created for oily skin type providing the right level of hydration for a mattified skin.

Visible results:

  • Your skin looks brighter and lighter (97%)*
  • Your skin looks matte (86%)*
  • The oil on your skin is balanced (88%)*
* Consumer evaluation on 61 women with oily skin.

Review:
Oriflame Optimals White Oxygen Boost day cream comes in a sturdy glass container and carries 50 ml of the product. The packaging is quite attractive but not travel friendly.

The texture of the cream is JUST RIGHT. Neither creamy nor too runny which definitely makes application easy. A small quantity is enough for one time application. However, don't rub it too hard on the face as the cream may get off your face in a solid form. I hope it makes sense :)

The cream got a subtle cucumber-like smell which does not linger on for long.

My sister got an oily skin and she dreads summers as this season always leaves her skin dull and tanned. It's been two months that she is using it and is quite happy with the results. According to her, it does not feel heavy on the skin. She feels that it has improved the texture and complexion of her skin and I am a witness to this. No more dull and tanned skin for her and she definitely attributes this to this cream. The active ingredients and SPF in this cream did leave her skin light and bright.

I myself gave it a try and loved the way it hydrated my skin. Though in humid weather, it gives a shiny cast to the skin but this is natural for a hydrating cream.

So, for total skin refreshment, try to maintain perfect balance between water and oils in your skin. Consume a lot of water, moisturize your skin using Oriflame Optimals Oxygen Boost day cream (or any other good moisturizer) and stay beautiful. :)

I asked my sister if she is going to repurchase it, and she replied, "Yes!" She got this cream from www.just4girls.pk for 1399 PKR.

"Candy Apple" is a perfect red. Though opaque on first application, you get the exact colour on second application. Applicator brush is wide which makes application quite easy. For me the quality of a nail lacquer depends on its drying time and this one dries pretty quick. You get 7 ml of product for 450 PKR. Overall, I am happy to own this nail colour! :)

Artedco Perfect Color Lipstick in '15': Review & Swatches

Assalam-o-alikum (Peace be unto you) my girls!!!

Spring is just around the corner and we want to make best of it. How about putting the colours of spring on your lips? And what can be better than bright corals and reds!!Today I will showcase a similar springy lip colour that you are surely going to like. It's going to be a mini review and the lip colour is Artedco Perfect Color Lipstick in 15.

As I have already did a detailed review on lipsticks by Artdeco, this time I'll be just talking about the color. Artdeco tends to give numbers to their lipstick shades rather than names. Well! Talking about number 15 lipstick, it is a beauuuutiiiifullll coral red, perfect for fall and spring.  It lends an instant glow and freshness to your face. It has a moisturizing formula, which is great as you can flaunt this lipstick round the year without being bothered about the weather. To sum it all, I am in LOVE with this beauty.
It gets a 5/5 from my side.
Hope you liked the lipstick. Do let me know by leaving your views in the comment section below.

Freeman Facial Clay Mask Avocado & Oatmeal: Review & Swatches

Once I had consumed my Freeman Facial anti-stress mask Dead Sea Minerals, I decided to give a try to some other mask. Ohh....standing right in front of the masks' shelf, I found it too difficult to set my eyes off these sooo tempting masks....again by Freeman. After much thought, I settled for two masks from their range. One of them is Freeman Facial Clay Mask Avocado & Oatmeal which I am going to review today.

What Freeman claims this mask does: Nourish and purify with one amazing mask! Rich clay dives deep to purge dust and oils from pores. Nutrient- rich Vitamin E, Avocado and Oatmeal moisturize for lasting skin softness. Skin looks and feels squeaky clean and is soft to the touch. Perfect for normal to combination skin.

My thoughts: This mask carries a set of vocabulary that catches the attention of anyone concerned about good healthy skin. Avocado, clay and oatmeal; all offer many benefits to the skin. Avocado being rich in antioxidants, vitamin C & E, and Fatty acids, not only improves overall health of the skin but also helps maintaining skin's moisture. Clay helps purify the skin of dirt and impurities. Oatmeal in itself can be used in many ways and serves as a perfect face mask. It absorbs oil, lends moisture to skin, is anti-aging and used for acne- treatment as well. Having all these things in mind, I had high expectations of this mask. How did it turn out to be? Read on!
My findings: This mask comes in a beautiful mint green color. I love the texture of this mask as it glides effortlessly on the skin. It takes 15 - 20 minutes to dry out completely depending upon the thickness of the layer applied.

This is how it looks after drying out:

It squeezes the skin tight after drying out which not only tightens the pores but also increases the blood circulation in skin which leads to a younger looking radiant skin. After washing the mask off, my face feels smooth and fresh. Though it absorbs oils from the skin, it does not dry the skin which is great!
I recommend using this mask twice a week. I prefer using it particularly after exfoliation. It feels as if my skin thanks me when I apply it on my face. It soothes my skin and I just love its feel on my face.
Honestly speaking, that's all I expect from a face mask and this one has pretty much lived up to my expectations. And for the price, it's a steal. You get 150 ml of the product for 325 PKR.
It gets a 4.5/5 from me.
I hope this review ends up helpful to you.
